A cosy cabin amongst the gum trees

Rental accomodation photography of cabin

Tucked away amongst a forest of gumtrees, a wonderful old Bedford truck has found its final resting place yet has also found a new purpose as much loved private accomodation for its owners. Made entirely from salvaged & found materials, the cabin has character that can only be created with materials that are infused with the spirit of their past lives. Materials worn, marked & softened through time & makers marks bring a sense of character that can only be achieved with time and would be impossible to create with new materials.

Lifestyle photography of holiday accomodation, quirky cabin

Inside, the warm honey tones of the Matai wood (salvaged from a hurricane) & the upper bed layered with linen & wool bedding invite you in with their promise of warmth & comfort. The beautiful door has been fitted with an amazing Indian carved window that was found dumped in a workplace scrapyard(!). Close it behind you and you will feel cocooned against the icy air that whips up off the Pacific Ocean.
